Ideas

“In every great time there is some one idea at work which is more powerful than any other, and which shapes the events of the time and determines their ultimate issues.”   -Sir Francis Bacon

This page will be dedicated to containing the blogs inspired by the WordPress.com challenges they create periodically.  As of the time of this writing I have only been a WordPress member for less than a week (1-09-13), and have only seen the location challenge.  I really enjoyed writing a blog for that one, and look forward to continued inspiration from this website.

In addition to consisting of my writings inspired by WordPress challenges, I will incorporate  the stranger and less palatable scrawling  I do at or around 3 a.m. when I’m afflicted with a bout of insomnia and tend to have ideas more creative, yet less compelling in tone and style because I am too tired to iterate my thoughts with any great ability.  Perhaps after they lay here in “Ideas” and simmer for a few weeks the ideas contained within these blogs will amalgamate to form a clear picture of something.  Or perhaps hope springs eternal in the face of illusion.  In any case, that’s my plan for now.  I would put them in an “Uncategorized” page, but I haven’t created one yet, and this “Ideas” page can accommodate them with little effort.

Please remember that my site is set up so that my blogs are placed in correlative pages, which you can access either through the menu at the top of the page, or through the menu to the right of the page entitled “Site Map.”

UPDATE: 1-19-2013

Because I am getting a few feedback posts asking me to write about various subjects, I will now be officially accepting requests for posts on topics of your choice.  Please leave me feedback, or comment on this page with your topic and I will write about it.  Please indicate whether you would like prose, poetic prose, or poetry when you send your request.

I will attempt to finish the requested post within a week of the date of application.

Thank you,

Chris Kirby
